The WateReuse Foundation announces the release of RFPs under its Solicited Research Program
The WateReuse Foundation is announcing the release of three R equests for Proposals (RFPs) under its Solicited Research Program. The projects, approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors, include a broad scope of issues related to the water reuse industry.

The three projects are:
- Alternative Viability/Infectivity Surrogates for Giardia for Which Cell Culture Infectivity Assays Are Not Available (WRF-05-003)
- Development of Surrogates to Determine the Efficacy of Groundwater Recharge Systems for the Removal of Trace Organic Chemicals (WRF-05-004)
- Identifying Hormonally Active Compounds, Pharmaceutical Ingredients, and Personal Care Product Ingredients of Most Health Concern f rom Their Potential Presence in Water Intended for Indirect Potable Reuse (WRF-05-005)
The due date for the proposals is March 31, 2006. All projects must include 25% of the total project costs as in-kind contributions. Proposals will be evaluated by an appointed Project Advisory Committee. Awards will be based upon several evaluation criteria, including responsiveness to the RFP, scientific and technical merit, and researcher qualifications.
