Groundwater and Wells has been a standard reference book for hydrogeologists and water-well contractors since 1966 when the 1st Edition was published by Johnson Screens. As we all know, technology and the practice of hydrogeology have changed tremendously since the mid-60s. The 3rd Edition of Groundwater and Wells provides new information into the design of water wells, especially high-capacity wells. Bio: Robert J. (Bob) Sterrett is a Principal Hydrogeologist with Itasca Denver, Inc. He is a registered professional geologist. Dr. Sterrett has over 35 years of consulting experience in the areas of groundwater and contaminant transport analysis, soil and groundwater remediation. His work also extends to engineering geology specifically working on mine dewatering, pit-slope stability analyses, groundwater supply and impacts of hydraulic fracturing on groundwater. Over his career he has worked in over 20 different countries and throughout the US. He has degrees in engineering geology, geology and water resources. His graduate work was completed at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is active in the National Groundwater Association and the Geological Society of America. Dr. Sterrett was the technical editor and chief contributor to the 3rd edition of Groundwater and Wells.
