The Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) recognizes that due to travel and meeting restrictions relating to COVID-19 precautions it may not be currently possible to gather colleagues to attend this GRACast. If your office has purchased a registration with the intent of having multiple colleagues participate, GRA will allow you to share the login information with your office colleagues so you may call in from multiple locations. We strive to remain agile based on the current public health situation and desire to support our members in the best ways possible.

SUMMARY OVERVIEW OF GRACAST:

This presentation will describe the goals and value of the GroundwaterU educational initiative, how to use the website, and how volunteers can share their own expertise with a global audience via customized videos at no cost. 

SPEAKER:

Dr. Andrew J.B. Cohen, Adjunct Professor NJ Institute of Technology, Founder GroundwaterU

Andrew J.B. Cohen is a hydrogeologist located in New Jersey, USA. He received a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. His focus is hydrogeologic investigations, contaminant fate and transport, and conceptual site models. Prior to his current roles in the environmental consulting industry and Adjunct Professor of Contaminant Hydrogeology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, he was a Research Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he focused on hydrogeologic characterization and modeling of groundwater in fractured and faulted bedrock. He is also a co-author for The Groundwater Project.

MODERATOR:

John M. Lambie, E-PUR LLC

John has over 35 years experience performing geohydrologic studies for water resources. Some of his current work includes enhanced groundwater recharge design and implementation. In the past 10 years he and his team have developed advanced data-collection and data-analysis techniques using novel geospatial analytical methods and data types for correlation analysis to improve designed managed-aquifer-recharge (MAR) facilities and groundwater management.
