Water Industry Careers Workshop

INFORMATION:

The Water Replenishment District & the Groundwater Resources Association Southern California Branch are hosting a Careers in the Water Industry Workshop.

At this event, students will learn directly from industry professionals about their respective fields as they give hands-on training's, presentations, and general career advice. This is a chance to network with potential employers looking to prepare the next generation of water professionals through mock-interviews and resume review sessions.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost to attend is $25 and costs will be subsidized by sponsors. Cost reimbursement waivers are available upon request for those who register and attend the event.  



SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

The Water Replenishment District (WRD) and the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA) will host its 2nd Careers in the Water Industry Workshop on Saturday, March 8th, 2024, at the Albert Robles Center for Water Recycling and Environmental Learning in Pico Rivera. Last year’s event was a great success, engaging dozens of students with water industry professionals, and we hope to continue counting on your support. This workshop welcomes college students who are interested in the water industry and/or unsure of their career path. The workshop will provide students with real life experiences from career experts such as hydrogeologists, engineers, and treatment facility operators, among others, to tell their stories, answer questions, and encourage students to join the water industry.

We invite you to help us provide resources to those participating to find a rewarding career in the water industry. This would be a wonderful opportunity for your organization to have visibility in front of an audience that can benefit from your participation at this workshop. Your presence will also be inspiring for those seeking career path direction in this critical point in their lives.
