Bio:

Jim Strandberg, PG, CEG, CHG. Mr. Strandberg, senior hydrogeologist with Woodard and Curran, has 30 years of experience providing environmental and water resources consulting services to private- and public-sector clients. He is experienced in managing multi-disciplinary groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water studies and field investigations for water resources, groundwater remediation, and litigation support projects. His water resources work focuses primarily on groundwater and includes water quality investigations, design and construction of water supply wells, groundwater flow and solute transport modeling, well and aquifer testing, groundwater source assessment and supply studies, technical support for Environmental Impact Reports and Environmental Impact Statements with an emphasis on identifying potential impacts and associated mitigation strategies pertaining to groundwater and surface water quality and quantity. At GRA’s inception in 1992, Mr. Strandberg served as the Founding President of the San Francisco Bay Area Branch. In 2003, he was elected to the Board of Directors. Over the past 11 years as a Director, Mr. Strandberg held the positions of Secretary, Vice President, President, and Immediate Past President. He served as Chair of the Executive Committee and Nominating Committee, Co-chair of the Events Committee and Education Committee, and a member of other committees. He is currently co-chair of the Events Committee. In 2012, he co-chaired the 21st Annual Conference and Meeting and in 2013 the Biennial Conference and 22nd GRA Annual Meeting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from UC Davis and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources specialization, from Stanford University.
